Anterior Thigh Flashcards
What is linea aspera?
in back femur where lots of quads attach
Patella is pully of quadriceps to
the tibia
What nerves lead to femoral and obturator nerve?
L2-L4 dorsal division is femoral and the anterior division is obturator. The obturator goes over the pelvis and through the obturator canal. Femoral nerve goes under SOAS muscle and travels through leg under ilingual ligament
Anterior thigh cutaneous innervation
Femoral nerve
Lateral thigh cutaneous innervation
lateral cutaneous nerve
Obturator nerve
innervates just inside medial thigh
What does heel strike use?
ankle dorsiflexors and hip extensors
What does loading response, and midstance use?
knee extensors, ankle plantarflexors, hip abductors
What does heel off use?
ankle plantarflexors and hip abductors
What does heel swing use?
long flexors of digits, intrinsic feet muscles, and high flexors
What does initial swing step use?
hip flexors and dorsiflexors
What does midswing use?
ankle dorsiflexors and knee flexors
What does deceleration (terminal swing) use?
hip extensors, knee flexors, ankle dorsiflexors, and knee extensors
Psoas major attachments and innervation
T12-L5 and lesser troch, anterior lumbar nerves
What are attachments and innervation of Iliacus
Iliac crest and lesser trochanter, femoral nerve
