Animal By Products Flashcards
Define Specified Risk Material (SRM)
Specified risk material (SRM) is those parts of cattle, sheep and goats that are most likely to pose a risk of infectivity if the animal from which it comes from was infected with a transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) disease.
What is an Edible Co-Product (ECoPs)?
An Edible Co-Product is a term used to describe products that, although technically fit for human consumption are not suitable for human consumption in their unprocessed state.
