Ascaris lumbricoides - ingested eggs hatch in intestine
Travel to lung and are swallowed again
Can see cysts and ova in stool
Cestode
Larval cyst in ingested meat
Schistomiasis
Miracardia live in snail
Cercaria emerge and travel to lung of human
Schistosome cause fever
Helminth infection accompanied by
Eosinophilia
Elevated IgE
Definitive diagnosis by
Parasite in tissue or stool and use microscopy
Culture for malaria
Thick and thin blood films
Serology
Detect antibodies of parasite in deep tissue
