A series of commercial restrictions adopted by American colonists to protect British taxes (they stopped importing goods that Britain was taxing)

The colonists complained that there were too many taxes without their consent
Tea act
Reduced the amount of tea held by the British east India company so that the company could survive
Intolerable acts
Laws put in place on the colonists In Massachusetts as punishment for protesting the tea act
It closes the port of Boston
Continental congress
12 of 13 colonies get together to discuss a plan to do something anbout the intolerable acts
Minute men
A type of militia man. They had volunteered to be ready to fight in a minutes notice

A political pamphlet written by Thomas Paine and it was overly in favor of American independence from Britain
