Al-Tashahhud,

Question 1

At-taḥiyyātu lillāhi waṣ-ṣalawātu waṭ-ṭayyibāt

Answer 1

All greetings, prayers, and good deeds are for Allah.

Question 2

As-salāmu ‘alayka ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh

Answer 2

Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

Question 3

As-salāmu ‘alaynā wa ‘alā ‘ibādillāhiṣ-ṣāliḥīn

Answer 3

Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah.

Question 4

Ash-hadu an lā ilāha illallāh

Answer 4

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah.

Question 5

Wa ash-hadu anna muḥammadan ‘abduhu wa rasūluh

Answer 5

And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

Question 6

Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad wa ‘alā āli Muḥammad

Answer 6

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad.

Question 7

Kamā ṣallayta ‘alā Ibrāhīm wa ‘alā āli Ibrāhīm

Answer 7

As You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim.

Question 8

Innaka ḥamīdun majīd

Answer 8

Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

Question 9

Allāhumma bārik ‘alā Muḥammad wa ‘alā āli Muḥammad

Answer 9

O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

Question 10

Kamā bārakta ‘alā Ibrāhīm wa ‘alā āli Ibrāhīm

Answer 10

As You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim.

Question 11

Innaka ḥamīdun majīd

Answer 11

Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
