Airflow Flashcards

1
Q

What is the coanda affect?
What are the conditions?

A

Gas travelling over a profiled surface will adhere to it and create a vacuum which pulls in air. Depletion of molecules create area of low pressure, flow moves towards area of low pressure.
Object is relatively streamlined and relatively shallow angle.

Q

To keep the same mass flow, what happens at the narrow section of the Venturi?
