Q

When standing, what is the gravitational pressure applied

A

1 g or (9.8m sec2)

the heart must pump sufficient pressure to counteract the gravity force and push blood to our brain.

Q

how is pressure distributed in the body

A

less pressure above the heart (at the head)

pressure increases below the heart (towards the feet)

Q

In aerobatic flight, what happens to the hydrostatic pressure in the body

A

In the aerobatic flight, the gravitation force is 5 ort 6 g, much higher than the body’s normal 1G

therefore this creates even less pressure for the heart to pump blood above it and more pressure to pump blood to the lower extremeties

means the brain is deprived of less blood flow and oxygen transport
