Age limit for a ride along in a vehicle
16 y/o or older
Age limit for a helicopter ride along
No one less than 18 y/o
What is each ride along assigned?
A citizen observer card
When shall a citizen not be allowed to participate in a ride along?
Conviction of a class B misdemeanor or higher
The Ride-Along for shall be completed by the guest and
Notarized at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled ride along.
*completed and signed by the host division shift sergeant and lieutenant
If participant is under 18 years of age
A parent or legal guardian must also participate in the ride along.
Who shall sign the form for a person participating in the Ride-Along program on an annual basis

How much seniority must an officer have to to participate in the ride along program?

A) verbal permission in the program.
B) verbal confirmation that the officer has no serious pending or sustained disciplinary action
