Snowdonia - glaciated, upland area - rock from extinct volcanoes
Steep mountains e.g Snowdon; and glaciated valleys

Where are lowland areas and examples?
A
Tend to be in South and East
Cheshire Plains - low flat land, deposition from glaciers, fertile used for dairy farming
Downs and the Weald - lowland, wide valley, between parallel hills of the Downs, covered in forest now mainly agriculture.
