what is strategic implementation?
creating a plan to achieve goals and objectives within an organisation, then executing it

what are 3 roles of leadership in developing a successful strategy?
- needed to explain + communicate the strategy so that all stakeholders understand
- be able to adapt the strategy if circumstances change
- need to be able to delegate and not take everything on themselves
what are 3 roles of communications in implementing strategy?
- informing stakeholders ensuring they agree with objectives
- needs to be effective to have good level of collaboration
- clear, consistent messages need to be delivered to engage stakeholders in seeing the success
what are 3 roles of organisational structure in implementing strategy?
- clear communication/structure to delegate tasks
- depending on how big the strategy is, may pick a certain structure to get involvement e.g.) matrix
- determines how quick decisions can be made + communicated
what is Critical Path Analysis (CPA)?
The process of breaking down complex tasks into more manageable and measurable tasks
What do you do when there is a choice of EST’s?
Choose the sum which is higher
What do you do when there is a choice of LST’s?
Choose the sum which is lower
What is flow time?
When there is a difference between EST and LST meaning the task can be delayed and still completed on time (LST - EST)
What is the critical path?
The chain of activities which takes the longest - can’t be delayed
What are 3 advantages of CPA?
- allows the business to work out the quickest way to achieve a project
- help stimulate new ways of thinking about doing things
- helps allocate resources in an efficient way
What are 3 disadvantages of CPA?
- time consuming to map out
- doesn’t take unexpected events into account
- can question the reliability of the task time estimates
