A

Transmit beam of electrons through specimen. Specimen must be thin and dead. Produces 2D, black and white image. high resolution

Describe how scanning electron microscope works

A

Electrons fired at surface of specimen and bounce off. Can be used on thicker specimens. Gives lower resolution than TEM. 3D image, black and white.
