Nominal Data
A
Characterized by Name only:
- NO particular order
- Mutually Exclusive
Examples:
- Blood Groups: The groups are A, B, AB, and O. It does not matter what order you put them in.
- Hepatitis Types: hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E.
- HIV Status: HIV-positive status and HIV-negative status are nominal data.

Examples:
- Students’ Class Rank
- Rank list for the match
- Pain Scale.
