Nominal Data

A

Characterized by Name only:

  • NO particular order
  • Mutually Exclusive

Examples:

  1. Blood Groups: The groups are A, B, AB, and O. It does not matter what order you put them in.
  2. Hepatitis Types: hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E.
  3. HIV Status: HIV-positive status and HIV-negative status are nominal data.

Examples:
