The following are recommended steps for effectively using the Metrorail Inventory Manual:
- Identify station of interest.
-Adjacent stations should also be identified - Review General Information Section
-provides hazards and description of equipment/facilities for LAFD use. - Locate the station’s surface map, site and platform plan, tunnel plan and mezzanine level plan (as applicable).
-IC can use SURFACE MAP for STAGING and DEPLOYMENT of resources
-Maps and plans have location access and of important equipment/facilities
Metrorail GOLD and GREEN Line (overhead centenary systems) General Info:
-EMP located at each station
-Blue Light Stations have Emergency Trip Stations to disengage overhead Catenary System and emergency telephone for Rail Operations Center (ROC)
-For Gold Line the traction power substations (TPSS) electrical service disconnect to remove all power from station (both traction and auxiliary power)
-For Green Line the main Electrical Disconnect Switch (EDS) must be used to de-energize entire substation
-Green Line stations with no 2-1/2” Wet Standpipes or Fire Hose Cabinets are close enough to a hydrant
