Q

Liners

A

almost flowable - barrier for sealing dentin from restorative material. More important with composite than amalgam. Done to prevent leaky tooth restoration interfaces. Also have electric, thermal insulation.

Q

Bases

A

thicker - 1-2mm - mostly thermal and mechanical protection/support. Provides resistance to amalgam condensation.

Should be about a mm thick at least for strength.

16
Q

Indirectpulp cap

A

15 days have defensive reparative cells differentiate.
30 days - microscopic reparative dentin
100 days radiographic reparative dentin.

Class V is less important (pressure).

17
Q

Heavy hemorrhage in pulp means

A

affected pulp, more likely to need endo.

18
Q

IF you get saliva on pulp exposure

A

increase likelihood of endo.

19
Q

ZOE cannot be used under

A

composite.

20
Q

Use dentin conditioner for

A

RMGI - blue liquid for dentin only.
