What is cholecystitis?
Cholecystitis is a redness and swelling (inflammation) of the gallbladder
Why does cholecystitis cause pain in the right shoulder?
referred pain happens because the source of pain also causes nerve irritation. In the case of gallstones, inflammation in the area irritates the large phrenic nerve. it also shares a connection with your shoulders.
What radiation of pain would you expect for the pancreas?
straight through to the back and left
What radiation of pain would you expect for the kidneys?
in loin and radiates to groin
What radiation of pain would you expect for the stomach?
doesn’t normally radiate
