what does heterozygous mean?

what does recessive mean?
an allele which does not determine the phenotype of an individual when a dominant allele is also present

the observable properties of an individual resulting from both genetic and environmental factors
what is a mutation?
a change in the DNA
what is the genotype?
the genetic consititution of an individual
what does codominance mean?
when both alleles contribute to the phenotype of an organism
