E Pago
There are 3 correct answers
A C D
Table, Calculation editor, Story
Describe how to add a calculation in a Table
You can add a simple calculation by selecting two measures in a table, right-clicking, choosing Add calculation, and choosing the calculation you want.
You can also add a repeating or single column or row to a table by right-clicking on a measure or dimension and choosing Add Calculation.
Describe how to use the calculation editor to add a calculation in a table
You can open the calculation editor from the drop-down menu of Measures or Dimensions in the Designer Panel and create complex calculations for a chart or table.
For each type of calculation, a new calculated member is created. You can also use dimension attributes as part of
a calculation.
How is calculations added to a table in a Story?
You can create a calculated measure in the Builder pane of a story. When setting up your calculation, you apply the typical formula functions, conditions, and operators to the data contained in your model. Calculated measures allow you to perform mathematical and Boolean operations on your data.
What are the 3 link types?
- Primary
- All
- Intersection
What do link types determine and what are they used for?
Link types are used to blend data from models in a story.
The link type determines how the data from the primary and secondary models are blended in a story.
Primary link type
Only the data from the primary model that matches the data from the secondary model is displayed.
This is equivalent to an inner join in SQL.
ALL link type
All the data from both models is displayed, regardless of whether they match or not.
This is equivalent to a full outer join in SQL.
Intersection link type
Only the data that exists in both models is displayed.
This is equivalent to an intersection in set theory.
What happens when you save a story as a template?
All data is removed. Widgets are left as empty placeholders.
This way, you can easily add new data sources and models to the template without affecting the existing ones.
TRUE or FALSE?
Custom formatting, such as story background, chart color palettes, fonts, and borders, is retained in the template.
Custom widgets, such as images, shapes, texts, and buttons, are also preserved in the template
True
Custom formatting and widgets does not change, only standard widgets such as tables, charts, maps, input controls, and value driver trees are converted to empty placeholders.
In a story, to which of the following is chart scaling applied?
A. Specific page
B. All measures
C. All pages
D. Specific measure
There are 2 correct answers
A: Specific page
D: Specific measure
Chart Scaling
Define the term and state what it is used for.
Chart scaling ensures that you have a meaningful display of values across multiple charts.
Used to ensure that you have a consistent display of values across multiple charts when they display the same measure value(s).
TRUE or FALSE
Charts are scaled by default
FALSE
Charts are not scaled by default.
What can unscaled charts lead to?
Incorrect Data Analysis
TRUE or FALSE
Chart scaling is applied to all of the pages in a story, but the scaling may be different for the same measure on different pages, because the scaling factor is calculated separately for each page.
TRUE
Why would you want to exclude certain charts from the scaling?
If a chart contains data that is much larger than the data in other charts, the other charts look smaller than they should, and could be misleading to the viewer.
Specific measure scaling:
Define and describe how to exclude charts from scaling
Chart scaling is applied to a specific measure in a chart, and it affects all the charts that contain that measure on the same page.
You can exclude charts from the scaling by selecting the chart and choosing Exclude from Scaling in the context menu.
Why isn’t scaling applied to all measures and pages?
Not all measures are selected and not all pages are enabled.
You can select which measures to scale by choosing Scale Measures in the context menu of any chart on a page.
You can enable or disable scaling for a page by choosing Enable Scaling or Disable Scaling in the context menu of any chart on a page.
Which of the following are required to configure a section in a story?
A. Optimized Design Experience
B. Dimension
C. Classic Design Experience
D. Widget
B: Dimension
D: Widget
You can create sections in both the Classic Design Experience and the Optimized Design Experience, but the process is slightly different. Therefore, the correct answer is dimension and widget, as they are required to configure a section in a story.
What is a section?
Sections are like containers for a canvas story page.
Essentially, they allow you to split page information into smaller, more comprehensible and manageable parts.
Once you have chosen a dimension as a section filter, the members are displayed in the section heading.
The widgets in the section are filtered on that member.
TRUE or FALSE
Sections are available only on Canvas Pages
TRUE
Which calculation type can you use to categorise dimension members?
A. Difference from
B. Dimension to measure
C. Measure-based dimension
D. Calculated dimension
C: Measure-based dimension
Define the calculation type:
Difference from
calculation type
Can use to compare the difference between two measures or two members of a dimension.
For example:
show the difference between the sales revenue of this year and last year.
Define the calculation type:
Dimension to measure
calculation type
Can use to convert a dimension to a measure by counting the number of distinct values in the dimension.
For example:
count the number of unique customers in your data.
Define the calculation type:
Calculated dimension
calculation type
Can use to create a new dimension from an existing dimension by applying a formula or an expression.
For example:
create a new dimension called Region from an existing dimension called Country by using a formula
to assign each country to a region.
Define the calculation type:
Measure-based dimension
calculation type
Can use to categorise dimension members.
A measure-based dimension is a dimension that is created from a measure by applying a range or a binning function.
For example:
you can create a measure-based dimension called Age Group from a measure called Age by using the binning function to group the age values into different categories, such as 0-10, 11-20, 21-30, and so on.
This way, you can analyze your data
by the age groups instead of the individual age values.
Which of the following can you use to create a chart for each member of a dimension?
A. Value Driver Tree
B. In-Cell Charts
C. Trellis
D. Section
D: Section
How is a section used to create a chart for each member of a dimension?
A section organises a story into smaller parts based on a dimension.
A section creates a separate page for each member of the dimension, and displays the same widgets on each page with the data filtered by the section dimension.
For example:
if you create a section based on the
Country dimension, you will have a page for each country in your data, and the charts and tables on each page will show only the data for that country.
Value Driver Tree
Define and state what it’s used for.
A widget that allows you to create a graphical representation of how
different drivers affect a key performance indicator (KPI).
You can use this widget to perform
simulations and what-if scenarios on your data.
However, this widget does not create a chart for each member of a dimension.
In-Cell charts
Mini charts that are displayed within table cells to show the relative values
of measures.
Enhances the readability and analysis of your data.
Does not create a chart for each member of a dimension.
Trellis
Creates the same chart for each member of the trellis dimension.
Allows you to split a chart into multiple smaller charts based on one or more dimensions.
You can use this feature to compare and contrast different segments of your data.
However, does not create a separate page for each member of a dimension.
What does the model setting Optimize Story Building Performance do in a story?
A. It disables the Classic Design Experience.
B. It prevents the automatic refresh of data during story design.
C. It forces the story to be designed in the Optimized Design Experience.
D. It automatically turns on parallel processing of SAP BW queries.
B
Optimize Story Building Performance prevents the automatic refresh of data during story design.
This means that users can design stories without waiting for the data to load every time they make a change. Users can manually refresh the data when they want to see the updated results.
The model setting does not affect the design experience, the parallel processing, or
the story editing.

A. Self and Children
B. Self
C. Self and Descendants
D. Self and Siblings
D: Self and Siblings
This option applies the formatting to the selected member and all its lower-level members in the hierarchy.
The selected member is the year 2024, and its lower-level members are the months, quarters, and half years that belong to 2024.
The formatting will also be applied to the years 2025 and 2026, and their lower-level members, because they are at the same level as 2024 in the hierarchy.
When adding a calculation to a table, you can choose from two options: Single or Multiple.
What does this determine?
The option determines how many new columns are added to the table based on the calculation.
Single
This is a follow-up question to:
“When adding a calculation to a table, you can choose from two options: Single or Multiple.”
Adds one new column to the table with the calculation result for the selected dimension member.
For example:
if you select Soft Drinks and choose Single, you will get one new column with the calculation result for Soft Drinks only.
Multiple
This is a follow-up question to:
“When adding a calculation to a table, you can choose from two options: Single or Multiple.”
Adds multiple new columns to the table with the calculation result for each dimension member.
For example:
if you select Soft Drinks and choose Multiple, you will get three new columns with the calculation result for Soft Drinks, Juice, and Alcohol.
When you are adding a calculation to a table (see graphic below) and choose Single, to which of the following is the new column added?
A. Selected dimension member
B. Every dimension member
C. @Data model
D. Story repository
A
Selecting single, will only add a column for the selected dimension measure.
