Q

Associative Property

A

In the sum or product of three (or more) numbers, any pair of numbers can be grouped together. a + b + c = (a + b) + c = a + (b + c) abc = (ab)c = a(bc)

Q

Distributive Property

A

The product of a number and a sum can be computed by finding the sum first and then multiplying
the sum by the number or by multiplying each term in the sum by the number first and then adding those two products. a(b + c) = ab + ac and a(b – c) = ab – ac
