How do disaccharides form? What are the 2 products of the reaction? 3 examples…

A

They form upon a condensation reaction where the products are the disaccharide held by the glycosidic bond, and water.
E.g: Maltose is a disaccharide comprised by 2 gluecose monomers
Sucrose is comprised of gluecose and fructose monomers
Lactose is comprised of gluecose and galactose monomers
