Not to approach an interview with an elderly client assuming that there is a health problem.
• Should assess hearing acuity first (Hearing loss- need to modify verbal technique)
• More often go for consult; have more health concerns that younger clients
• Need to believe they can trust you
• Shall speak clearly and straightforward using simple languages. Avoid modern slang
- Better is with significant others during the interview to provide clarity
