What is the Role of the Judiciary
A
Their role is to make decisions in a fair, unbiased way, applying the law and the legal rules of England and Wales

What is the role of a District Judge
A
- Sit in the County Court, dealing with civil cases
- Vast Majority are solicitors
- Have at least 5 years of experience

A
- Part time judges who sit in the Crown Court for 20 days a year
- Qualified as barrister, or solicitor for at least 7 years

What is the role of a Circuit Judge
A
- Sit in the County or Crown Court
- Either 7 years of audience experience or have been a Recorder

What is the role of a High Court Judge
A
- They try serious criminal cases, important civil cases and assist the Lord and Lady Justices to hear appeals.
